Gauntlet Concept A
Gauntlet Concept B
The average Museumgoer rarely gets to fully experience a jewelry exhibit's physical object, as it is often hidden behind glass, inside a Vitrine. In the Gauntlet, the relationship is reversed. The Museumgoer has the opportunity to wear the Vitrine on their head, becoming an object inside their own Vitrine.

The Object
Gauntlet Jewel
At the center of The Gauntlet is a piece of Jewelry. Throughout history, Jewelry has been an object connected with cultural movements and fluctuations in style & taste, and is given value by its preciousness and vulnerability.
The Museumgoer gets:
The opportunity to investigate the physical value of art under extreme magnification.
A uniquely personal experience with art.
The Suit
The wear-able Vitrine is a custom-designed, custom-built suit, with varying levels of magnification, giving those inside the Gauntlet a heightened sense of visual perception.

The Room
Every museum features countless objects and artifacts housed behind glass walls. By reversing this, and placing the glass on the viewer, the experience of the exhibit is isolated and preserved.
The Gauntlet pushes this one step forward by establishing an inner exhibition space, a space within a space, which puts the actual Museumgoer on display, as they view the exhibited object.

The Process
Thanks to Iaspis, The Gauntlet received a grant to collaborate and discuss a potential exhibition. The team took over an apartment in the center of Stockholm and transformed it into a constant place of ideation. Collaborators were invited throughout the sessions, and incorporated into the creative process.
The Ask
In order to make The Gauntlet a reality, we're looking for a space in Stockholm to house the Exhibition, and investment for its development and execution. Help? isurvivedthegauntlet@gmail.com.
